totem needed a codec for mp3,i installed them, after totem dind't play anything, just showing the visualizations...

Binary package hint: totem

even after i installed the plugins he needed to reproduce an mp3 file nothing happened, i mean yes the time bar was mooving and seconds increasing with the visualizations working but... i just couldn't hear anything...
It's not a driver problem cos everytime i turn on the pc i hear the ubuntu tune... so what should i do?

Did you have another program that uses sound as well?
Im asking this because pulse audio is enabled in hardy and pulse cant play two sounds at once yet.
