Firefox 1.5 installation problem

List your problems please.

when I download the browser, I assume that archive manager going to take charge of installation and then the tar file on the desktop I click over it when the folder is open I try to use the fox shell icon and just ask me to run or display of course I choose run and nothing more happend.

I Im trying to use tar command as firefox sugest, but I'm doing something that do not let me open it for installation. I read some books and web page about Linux and I still without unserstand.

I were a windows user and I'm learning how to work with Linux and I love it I try first with Mandrivia next with Suse and belive me I love Ubuntu it is very simple and very stable.

Let me see if I understand your problem correctly. You're downloading firefox from their website, correct? Breezy has Firefox 1.0.7 and Firefox 1.5 won't be available "officially" until Dapper gets released.

it is quite simple i was having the same problem. The basic thing Linux does not install Firefox. browser. By using the TAR command it extracts the tgz file in to the same directory and an executable icon is present there. If you click on that icon it wil open the browser.

these seems very unusual before i never encounter any hardship logging in and when transferred to this site almost everything were blocked and/or a note "this site is blocked." I am having hard time really. .then for watching video notation again saying "download flash player or something elsae sorry i forget the right terms. Please advice. Thank you
