toten not working with video and mp3

it only shows the still photo of the video. cannot run mp3 n video. all still.not running

This sounds like the problem I had - https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+question/33205.

CloudFX advised installing VLC Mediaplayer - I did, and it fixed the problem.
