Problems with Totem media player

When I'm going to play a DVD with Totem, the following message appears:

"An error has ocured"
"Can't read the device"

or something similar. Ins Spanish is:

"Ha ocurrido un error, No se pudo leer del recurso"

Seems media error please check this media onto another pc and try to play different one on your pc.

I tryed different medias, but the error is the same.

Some DVDs work. Is it a region problem?

I had the same problem with UBUNTU 8.04.
I check the media in other computers and in the same computer under windows,
and it works without any problem, even in other UBUNTU 8.04 in a laptop and the media
works....
