Could not determine type of stream.

Re: Ubuntu 7.10 and totem and sound converter

I have download some music from the mininova web site via bit torrent. In some cases when I go play the file I get this error message:

Could not determine type of stream.

I have installed almost ever gstream package in the synaptic package manager

btw I have used other torrent softwere to download the files...same results

Could not determine type of stream.

any suggestions. thks

MP3 and flac. Sometimes it works somestumes I get the error. THX

I can't play .avi files I downloaded as bittorrents. Totem gives me the same message. What to do?
