totem package

How do I install Totem plug-ins?

Online videos are now working, but when I ask Totem to play a movie, this is the message I get:
Totem cannot play this type of media (DVD) because it does not have the appropriate plugins to be able to read from the disc.

So how do I get/install them?

I've been searching online for hours for the answer to this question. I am not sure what if any plugins I need. When I put a disc in, the player comes up and now it is simply saying
cannot read from source

I think that I have tried all the video players in the directory and I still can't watch dvds on here.

Did you try the instructions, provided here?
http://www.debuntu.org/how-to-play-dvd-under-ubuntu-linux

Also, DVD support in Totem is still flaky, in order to get full support for playing DVDs you may want to install totem-xine package or use another video player (like gmplayer or VLC).
