How is it stored?

You haven't even stated the release of Ubuntu.... Nothing.....

I am trying to isolate the bug. I have installed Firebug on all websites. Will revert after I have failed.

Ubuntu one is no more. The service was cancelled long long ago.

Any you like. I use Dropbox. There is no "must use" about it. You have freedom and choice.
