How can anyone possibly advise?

1. What is being used to make the video?
2. We don't even know what release of Ubuntu is being used
3. Or if the system has a make and model
4. Do you get sounds in other applications?

We cannot see your system. You need to tell us stuff like this. Imagine someone posted just your question on a Windows forum, how can you reply at all?
