while installing windows on the ubuntu 12.04, it shows as " windows cant be installed to this disk. the selected disk has an MBR partition table. on EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GPT disks." whatdoes it mean and pls give me the code

Are you trying to install Windows 8?

You should install first windows and then Ubuntu (if you want dula boot, because its easier doing dual booting this way).

It looks to me like you're running EFI bios, try to boot windows 8 on legacy to see if it works.

If you're trying to 'erase' Ubuntu and just having windows, I suggest you erase the entire disk and create a new partition using windows tool.
