Cant watch DVD's with any player

Asked by Tec

I have 7.10 and have read as much as I can. Have installed libdvdcss2, kaffeine, vlc nothing works. Totem gives me this message:
The source seems encrypted, and can't be read. Are you trying to play an encrypted DVD without libdvdcss?

The update manager wants be to update libdvdcss from 1.2.5-1 to 1.2.9-2, so that would mean it installed right?

Any terminal commands would be helpful.

Thanks

From the terminal:

Preparing to replace libdvdcss2 1.2.5-1 (using .../libdvdcss2_1.2.9-2medibuntu4_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement libdvdcss2 ...
Setting up libdvdcss2 (1.2.9-2medibuntu4) ...

Processing triggers for libc6 ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place

After that I still get the same error in Totem.

Thanks

 sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread3/examples/install-css.sh
sudo: /usr/share/doc/libdvdread3/examples/install-css.sh: command not found

Well, this makes absolutely no sense, but it works now. Downgrade then upgrade and video is playing. I have a lot to learn.

Thanks
