totem package

Totem 3.6.2 has no Shuffle nor Loop controls

I am using the gnome3 ppa, so I have nautilus updated to 3.6.2 as well as totem to 3.6.2.
Totem 3.4 has Shuffle & loop controls on EDIT menu. While 3.6.2 does not.
Is this normal. My totem continues to play audio files in shuffle mode but there is no control to revert back to normal behavior and so on...
Should I file a bug?

It's same for me. No replay, no shuffle. it's weird.

What is the output of:

uname -a; lsb_release -a; apt-cache policy totem

Then I suggets you contact the PPA maintainer. Quantal comes with Gnome3 but you are using an unstable release from a 3rd party source.
