Totem Movie Player dvd copy function help

Asked by two4two

Totem has a drop-down option called "copy video DVD". It tells me it will use the same DVD drive to write as it is using to read. It goes to far as to read the entire DVD and to eject the disc. But when I put the blank disc into the drive nothing more happens. Where is the temp file? What is it called? How do I get it written to the blank disc?

OK, it put it to a *.bin file which I mounted as a virtual disk. It had the video_ts folder which I then used K3b to burn.

Just a note to clarify:

it puts it to /tmp/"whatever".bin

and you can use K3b to directly burn the image. Or, as said earlier, mount and extract. Of course there may be software that can mount it as an archive and from there you can read it.
