totem movieplayer choppy video playback

totem movieplayer broke after running system update

worked yesterday.

Now playback of ANY video file is choppy. Video plays at rate of 1 frame every 2 seconds.

Audio is normal.

Using ubuntu 11.10

How do I fix?

I solved the issue.

All other players worked correctly.

The problem turned out to be a ppa which was added to my sources.list file.
For some reason I had a ppa for gnome3 added. Once this was removed, and totem purged, I was able to install the version of totem from the correct repository.

All working normal again now.
