I need to download the proper plug in to play a DVD

I just got my computer with Ubuntu operating system from the shop with a new hard drive. So, all my plug ins and software applications are gone. When I try to play my DVD, I get an error message in the movie player could not read from resource. Can you help me install it again? Thank you

Did you install the non-free (as in legal restriction) DVD playback components? You can do this if you are in appropriate legal jurisdictions.

Don't forget to run the command that installs the decryption software (the "install-css" command, after you install the dvd playback package).

This is separated from the ubuntu installation for legal reasons.
