colors fade in movie player while playing

while playing movies colors fade........

That is compiz showing the app hanging. Do other players work ok?

Open Gnome powermanager and then adjust the following options:

Dim the screen after a period of inactivity when on AC power
Dim the screen after a period of inactivity when on battery power

its same with other players too

ok, did you install ubuntu-restricted-extras
have you added the medibuntu repo and installed w32codecs (I assume 32bit Gnome OS)

i am new to ubuntu dude can u explain more clearly please

Run:
