totem package

why wont it support my HP DVD player

when I plug my external DVD player I get an error. I must be missing a driver for this player. where do I find this driver?

What is the error you get?

Have you installed the restricted packages? The legality of these packages differs from region to region.

If you plug external DVD drive with USB, could you run command
   sudo lsusb
before and after pluging DVD device, and check if a new line appear.
