while movie is running suddenly display was gone only audio is coming,after restarting again came to normal.

suddenly complete display was stopped nothing is visible on screen when i am middle of the movie,only audio is coming.
i switch off system and again restarted at that time it working normally.Same problem came when i am using windows7 also.Please respond to my query if any one know the solution for this type of situations.

Sounds like your graphic card is about to die (same scenario happend to a colleague last week).
How old is the computer?
Which graphic card?
Open a terminal and type (or copy and paste):
sudo lshw -C video

I bought my laptop 2 years back but i changed my graphic card 6months back.
I am using Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller.
Should i change my Graphic card??????????

In the meantime you could test video playing without visual effects.
system preferences -> appearance -> visual effects = None

Also try this.
Open a terminal and type (or copy and paste):
gstreamer-properties

Tab video, plugin output option: X Window System (no Xv)

I am having this same problem but I'm on Linux. I have restarted my computer and it does fix it.
