like i uploaded a video and im playin on movie player and i want to edit the video how can i do that?

You might also want to check out Pitivi it's in the default Karmic 9.10 repository

Pitivi is the video editor that is being included in the default install of the upcoming Lucid Lynx release.

I haven't played with it much myself, but it looks good, might be worth a shot.
