Dependency error when installing package tiemu through synaptics. Conflicts with tilp2?

Asked by damaa

Binary package hint: tiemu

First, Synaptics sayd: Could not mark all packages for install or upgrade. They have unresolvable dependencies.

tiemu:
Depends: libticables3 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libticalcs4 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libtifiles0 but it is not going to be installed

I have the Universe/Multiverse repositories enabled and find this files in the repository. After trying out to install libticables3 through Synaptics first, it seemed to work, BUT tilp2 has been removed. Is there an incompatibility?

Thanks for you help.

This is not a bug, but a question. tilp2 requires libraries which are incompatible with those required by tiemu. Unfortunately both packages are rather outdated, and the libraries they use underwent several revisions which are not compatible with each other.
