Thanks for your response Tom. I am not sure what a virtual machine is
but I choose Windows XP or Ubuntu during bootup. Does this help?

Ok, that's beginning to sound good. Here's the result of someone who asked this question previously ;)

However, events at that time over-took me and i never tried it out but it should work for you :)
Good luck and regards from

Err, i found the instructions a little tricky so please keep asking questions and lets try to work out how to do this. You do have a dual-boot of some kind but it's unclear exactly how that's set-up. When you get the menu offering a choice between Windows and Ubuntu is there only 1 choice for Ubuntu or are there quite a few? If there's quite a few then this could be a lot easier but i think we can work with it either way around
Good luck and regards from

Hi :)

Have you been able to try the new Ubuntu 10.04 before it gets officially released?
http://www.ubuntulinux.org/testing/lucid/beta2
Trying it as a LiveCd or as an extra dual/multi-boot would be ideal. Developers and everyone are keen to try to iron out any problems before 10.04 gets officially released so you might find faster & more effective answers to your bug reports which would make 10.04 work better on your system for you

Thanks and regards from
Tom :)
