cannot get email links to work in thunderbird

Dell Inspiron 6400 with Ubuntu 9.04.

Thunderbird 2 is my email application, which I wish to be default. Internet browser is Web Browser 3.5 which I wish to make default. The Preferrred Applications give me only Epiphany as browser and Custom as email application.

At the moment Thunderbird does not allow any links that may be give in an email to open. Can this be changed, please?

Just change the script you change to point to the browser of your choice

Both will work.
