PgP key and thunderbird - 1)cannot find way to get key and 2)can't set up mozilla mail, not sure if because of #1 or?

Asked by David Lee Holmes

I am brand new to this whole world and lost.I understand the PgP concept as I used to use ProtonMail until it was hacked. As such, I am reading how to get a key and cannot find i how to do this. I also can't set up mozilla mail, not sure if it's due to my first question.

To go with Thunderbird my suggestion is installing Enigmail Graphical interface is available though the main
repository. To change that software & updates -> Ubuntu software -> Download from Main Server.
sudo apt-get install enigmail

Enigmail is the encryption and decription mail reader.
