import hotmail folders to Gmail

I haven't heard anything about exporting folders to gmail (I recently moved from hotmail to gmail as my main account as well). Hotmail supports pop for all users, if you (in Gmail) go to Settings > Accounts and the Get mail from other accounts section, the pop server is pop3.live.com port 995 with ssl enabled.

This should at least let you download all current and future email into gmail.

I tried to enter in settings/accounts- get mail from other acounts section
enter pop server as pop3.live.com port 995 and enable ssl, also entered my hotmail adress as rayburke30@
hotmail.com and user name as rayburke and password reggae, but failed as error, please advise

For username put in your full hotmail email address (you did right in
setting that as email as well).

Password should be your hotmail password (if you just put that in here
accidentally, I recommend you change it quickly!)

It should work after this.

If you want to use the POP function of Hotmail, you MUST have a Hotmail plus account. Otherwise the POP function is disabled.

looks like I have got over the problem by using trueswitch app as transfered all my hotmail folders(emails) to gmail, first
time before it want a subscription of payment to use?
