Mozilla Thunderbird Update to 45.8.0

Thunderbird has been updated to 45.8.0 on the 6th of March, it's now the 14th of March. Thunderbird is still listed as 45.7.0 in the Ubuntu repositories, is an update forthcoming? A lot of the updates for Thunderbird are of the critical variety. Firefox was updated shortly after it came out. Any clue? Thanks.

I suggest you report a bug. If there are significant reasons to upgrade the version then it will be bumped up.

Ubuntu is not a rolling release and packages are not updated when a new version is released.

Then why are other programmes such as Firefox, etc updated and this is not?

It finally came through software update this afternoon as the aforementioned 45.8.0 with all the security fixes, etc.
