Problem with University email

Asked by nicenick

Ubuntu 6.0.6, Mozilla Thunderbird Email, Mozilla FireFox Web Browser
Went to the Cuyahoga County Community College Web site (www.tri-c.edu) with FireFox. One of the links had me fill out a form in order for them to send me an email when the Summer Session is available for registration. (keeps me from having to look daily)

At the end of their form, when I click submit. Thunderbird launches, says it is not responding, asks me to try rebooting my computer, puts a blank message into my 'drafts' folder. then does nothing. I never EVER lauched Thunderbird, before, during or after visiting the web site. Why does it think Thunderbird iw not resoonding. After the second time this happened, I launched Thunderbird and downloaded my emails, it works fine.

I just want to respond to the college on the college web site, don't even know why Thunderbird is involved at all.

Is this normal behavior, or is something wrong?

Nice Nick

There is an error on their webpage. The button has an email address so you can't push it.

Instead, just email them at M&<email address hidden> and give the information they list on that page. Let them know their web form has an error in it, too.
