Thunderbird upgrade from v11 to v14

Asked by terry joyce

How do I upgrade the installed v11 to v14, I have downloaded the file archive.
Maybe so simple no-one feels the need to describe the procedure?
(I am a refugee from Windows)

Thanks,
Terry

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/thunderbird-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Run those 3 lines in a terminal one after the other and it will install for you :)

Is that the way all updates are done?

I think I had better do some helpfile reading.

Many thanks for the guidance.

Its just one way to get later versions of packages if the official repos are behind.
