Asked by peter

Hello

In Thunderbird I have a lot of English dictionaries for spell checks. How can I delete them?

Thanks in advance.

Spell checkers in Thunderbird are add-ons. Use the Edit > Preferences menu item. In the Thunderbird Preferences dialog in the General tab, click on the Manage Add Ons... button. The dictionaries are probably in the Extensions tab. Disable is the best that can be done. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_add-ons says that data may be left behind.

Thanks.

But: the English dictionaries are not listed as add-on's. Only the German one is listed.

Do you have another idea? Thanks a lot.
