How does one get the mail client in Thunderbird to direct incoming mail to subfolders in the Inbox?

Asked by Jerryjseay

I would like to associate folders under the Inbox with email addresses from senders that I select. This would separate my incoming mail by the sender address rather than all of them dumped in the Inbox.

I am running Kubuntu and Mozilla-Thunderbird. (Only one mail application.)

Severity: Low

Security: None

Convenience: Very High

You'll have to configure filters to redirect the received emails from that adresses to the folders you want, i dont have Thunderbird installed now and i'm dist-upgrading just now(so can't install it), just try o search a bit through Thunderbird menus and if you don't get it just let us know and someone with thunderbird installed or myself(i'll install it, i've always loved that email client) will guide you through the email filtering configuration :)

Can you help with this problem?
