not able to install thunderbird

i tried installing thunderbird from command line. it comes to following screen & nothing happens afterwords. Please inform how to proceed further to this screen

Ok try run:

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install thunderbird

i have already done that. After that a window comes saying "c onfiguring ttf mscorefonts installer"and then nothing happens. If i try to install from ubuntu software center, it says error in programming.... & does not install

Yes we need the actual output. That's why I gave the command.

I got the problem solved. some packages were broken. After repairing them, problem got solved
