The bug we have here happens before the UI you're talking about appears so the UI simply wouldn't contain add-ons that got hit by it. You're also saying you lost a lot of add-ons, some of which definitely wouldn't have had any updates waiting to install before you upgraded. So either we don't yet correctly understand this bug, or there is a different bug that you hit.
