Where can I post translation issues?

Asked by colby

Hi,

I'm using Thunar 1.4.0.

In the German translation, there's a very unlucky term in the context menu, saying "dauerhaft entfernen" which in English can be "permanently remove" but also "permanently delete"

I faced this problem yesterday, thinking I can use it to unmount the flash disk, but instead it started to delete it.
On a second look it's clear that it's not meant for unmounting, but on a first short look it's not 100% clear. The problem is further complicated as in Windows "sicher entfernen" is the term for unmounting a device.
As I read afterwards in forums, other people stumbled upon the same problem.

Much better translation would be "dauerhaft löschen" which can only mean "permanently delete".

I'm not sure where to post this issue, since i'm not sure if this is considered a bug?

Thanks,
Thomas

I am unable to find the string "dauerhaft entfernen" in the German l10n file of Thunar. Can you please recheck and / or give the line number from http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-branches/ubuntu/saucy/thunar/saucy/view/head:/po/de.po ? Thanks!

I can't find it in the file de.po either, so I uploaded two screenshots. one shows the term, the other the version number:

I addded another screenshot which shows the unmount and the delete-term:

Can you help with this problem?
