Comment 90 for bug 1439288

I really can't reproduce this bug. I tried lots of combinations and thunar versions(1.6.4, 1.6.5 and git), even removed the "misc-file-size-binary" prop from xfconf and nothing crashed. I've tried it on my laptop and desktop, both running Arch Linux fully updated.

All evidences indicates that the problem was introduced by my commit and what Ali proposes makes sense to me. But it's awkward that the problem vanishes for people that set the property. IDK but maybe when the property is unset something is getting slower or errors might be silenced.

Well, I'll try to reproduce this bug later, meanwhile if some one could apply Ali's patch, build thunar, remove the "misc-file-size-binary" property and give it a shot would be great.
