Comment 123 for bug 1439288

I have installed thunar 1.6.6 in my xububtu 14.04.1 LTS and it seems to be working. Here's how I installed it:

First download the .deb packages from here (total 5 of them):

https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/xubuntu-staging/+build/7118333

put them in a new directory, and cd to that directory

Now run:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb //it will show error but still you have to do it
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
