Please add QPhotoRec?

Asked by Ben

Hey,

I'd like to request that QPhotoRec is being added to the package (or to create a package for QPhotoRec). If you want to rescue your data, being commandline-challenged really is a PITA.

cheers

Or just have effective backups.... Much easier and there is a greater chance of restoration of data.

The request from the other user is already five years old - what is necessary to make it happen?

To make a long story short - it's not going to happen unless I do it myself?

There may be a PPA.

Do you not have backups of your data? If not, why not?

No shit, Sherlock? You don't happen to know anybody who *might* be able do the job for the greater good of the Ubuntusphere? (stupid question, I know...)

Do you just need QPhotoRec included to package and uploaded to ppa? Or do you want it included official Ubuntu reposities?

Either way. Making it official would benefit the rescue-live cd's of whom -I believe- several are based on Ubuntu.

cheers
