i just loaded Ubuntu on my laptop and forgot to backup my photos. How do I recover them?
So, I decided to give Ubuntu a try and installed it, but forgot to do a backup of any kind....ahhhh haste, you do so much for me.
I searched around a little on this topic and found some suggestions. I tried some things. I got reacquainted with my old pal frustration, he's always there when I need him.
I may be totally effed here, but I am cautiously optimistic that there appears to be an NTFS partition on my drive. That said, I know precisely Jack5hit about recovery and the like. You might consider me a well meaning, but partially retarded monkey with a hammer. I like things to be shiny and obvious and smell like bacon.
Anyhoo, I was hoping to tap into the collective genius that is the Ubuntu community for a gem of wisdom on this matter. Any and all help or suggestions are greatly apprecitated!
Salud!
