Faster update process

Hi,
I wonder why telegram-desktop is so far behind in the update process. The latest version of telegram-desktop 4.6 was released yesterday while the version available in package 3.6.1 (22.04 LTS) was released on 16/03/2022 and 4.1.1 (22.10) was released on 16/08/2022.

Thank you, I am aware of that. However, there are software that are released monthly and for which each release brings huge improvements (such as the browser category mentioned in the link). In these cases, it would be good to have a more frequent update.

If you want an operating system that provides the newest bleeding edge version of software packages, then Ubuntu is not the right one for you.

Another possibility is switching from the deb format of the telegram-desktop package to other packaging formats, e.g. snap or flatpack. They usually provide quick updates.

(sudo apt purge --autoremove telegram-desktop && sudo snap install telegram-desktop)

Telegram-desktop does not provide support for arm64. That is why I am using snap and flatpak. Thank you
