Plans for tcpdump version update in jaunty

Jaunty has tcpdump version 3.9.8, and libpcap version 1.0.0. I need SMB over TCP support in tcpdump. It's available in version 4.0.0. Also, there are some bugfixes for NFS printers that could be useful to me.

If this is going to be updated soon, I'll hold off downloading and installing manually. Anyone know what the plans are for this?

Log a bug stating wat errors the new version fixes and it may get added. You can also use this PPA

It has version 4 for Jaunty and Karmic.
