Tasksel is not recognized by the command line. I have Ubuntu DTp 10-10 installed

Asked by andrew prudente

I originally installed 10.04 and when I found that tasksel did not work, I upgraded it to 10-10. It still does not work. I get an unrecognized command. Also, man tasksel also produces an unknown error message. So, what's going on?

Any help greatly appreciated.

kind regards,
andrew

Hi

I solved the problem myself. I searched for SW using Ubuntu Software Center searching for tasksel. It found a package called aptitude manager (or similar) which I downloaded and installed. tasksel is now working well.

thanks and regards,
andrew
