Canon MP 510 Printer / Scanner

I am currently using UBUNTU Janty 32 Bit.
I have a Canon MP 510 printer / scanner.
Were in ubuntu can I find the settings so I utilize the scanner.

There is some good news and some not so good news about this printer working under Linux.

The good news is at the bottom of the page.
