You have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and it seems that also Debian does not build the mqtt module for syslog-ng, see e.g. https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=syslog-ng&arch=amd64&ver=3.38.1-5&stamp=1675122115&raw=0

If you think that it is advisable to add mqtt features to syslog-ng in Ubuntu (and Debian), then you are invited to create bug reports, both in the Debian as well as the Ubuntu bug trackers.

Eventually it is possible to install a version with mqtt support from https://github.com/syslog-ng/syslog-ng/#installation-from-binaries (if available there, which I have not checked).

Thanks Manfred, but I am not used with the process for Debian. How to open such request to Debian's maintainer ?

Creating bug reports for Debian is described in https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting

thanks done: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1031341

can we keep this topic opened so we'll track the Ubuntu's update once it'll be available on Debian ?

Can you help with this problem?
