Folder link of wine in Main Menu remains even thoug source is uninstalled

I uninstalled softwares from wine. But there is still its link on the Main Menu inside wine submenu.. How can i delete it?

Hi, yes i've had this before too. I think you use Synaptic Package Manager to do a "complete removal"

System - Administration - Synaptic

and then either search tool should find Wine but you might have to reinstall it to do the complete removal.
Anyway, good luck with this

No dude, I dint ask for wine uninstallation... I asked for the windows application installed usin it.. Coz wen i uninstalled it, its corresponding folders and links on wine dint get deleted.. Thanks for your answer...

Ahah, i think you can just delete them by going up to the "Places" menu chose "Home" folder and make sure that the "View" menu allows you to see hidden folders. Then navigate to

/home/user/.wine/drive_c/users/user/Start Menu

& also to

/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files

I think you can just delete the stuff you don't want out of there bt i would check by asking around in the Wine forums because i could have got the wrong idea.

They are not great at being noob-friendly in there so it helps to have a plan in mind (like the one i gave above) and to keep asking questions until someone makes it clear. I don't think they are unfriendly but they just need a bit of gentle coaxing into giving answers that make sense ;)
