error java in synaptic so i can't install or do anything

Asked by puputboy

This package is an installer package, it does not actually contain the
JDK documentation. You will need to go download one of the
archives:

    jdk-6u10-docs.zip jdk-6u10-docs-ja.zip

(choose the non-update version if this is the first installation).
Please visit

    http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/

now and download. The file should be owned by root.root and be copied
to /tmp.

[Press RETURN to try again, 'no' + RETURN to abort]

so how to solve this problem?? please help me

Will you install Java? I've 8.04 and the following files are needed to run Java (all of them found in Synaptic):

sun-java6-jre
sun-java6-bin
java-common
sun-java6-plugin

Also rhe package ubuntu-restricted-extras must be installed (als found in von Synaptic) or by typing in a terminal: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

Hope it helps.
