The quick filter feature is indispensable to me and, I am sure, others.
Please bring back this most useful feature as I and others, I'm sure, HATE Ubuntu software center.

sorry - it is not useful to me but you can install the program which can give it back to you - it is in repos of ?Ubuntu...

I sympathise with your aversion to "The Centre" - slow and works "with hiccups"... often does not show what is happening...

Synaptic fault lays in showing installed program 4 times in a list one after another... do you have any remedy for that?
