How do I get skype installed?

Seriously?

Skype is huge. How can the Unbutu 7.04+ version skype.com is pushing out NOT work properly with synaptic?

Wrong platform i386? Come on! That should work fine (on my AMD), right?

Also: Shouldn't the synaptic package manager, well, find a Skype package for me?

Again, skype is huge....how could you possibly not be ready for it?

Never mind. I see now the lameness is within Skype not having a 64bit version.

32bit libraries on the way now....
