Problem removing item from applications menu

Asked by L0stTh0ught

A little while ago, I had tried installing and running 'The Movies' game on my computer, sadly, that failed, the problems arose when I tried to remove said program. I say 'problems' because there was another issue that I had involving folders from that program not deleting from the trash. However after an update that resolved itself. The problem that remained is that in the other folder, I still have a link to the game. I've tried using the main menu editor in the Preferences folder under the system tab, but it refuses to be deleted. Now consider that I'm pretty new to linux, I have no way of describing the problem in further detail besides that I'm using Lucid Lynx 10.04, and I've uninstalled and re-installed wine, no other traces of the game exist on my computer save for that link, and my computer is running on a 64 bit amd. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Is it a native Linux game or did you install it using wine?

using wine, it was about a year ago, I realize I should have posted this sooner, but I got severely side tracked

then it will be in ~/.config/menus somewhere, delete the item which relates to the ap and it will go (may have to log off and on).

Why did you not mention wine in the initial question?
