Can't update or install anything

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type 'a.launchpad.net/loneowais/ppa/ubuntu' is not known on line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/loneowais-ppa-maverick.list'

What does cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/loneowais-ppa-maverick.list say?

I don't know. That's what it gives me when I open the update manager.

Run the following command:
sudo mv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/loneowais-ppa-maverick.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/loneowais-ppa-maverick.list.save
Or just remove this file:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/loneowais-ppa-maverick.list
It should help.
