Can I Uninstall Updates

Is there any way I can uninstall today's updates. It has totally messed up my video card. Ubuntu 10

1. Open System > Administration > Synaptic.
2. Open File > History.
3. Go to today's entries. Maybe you should copy the entries to the clipboard and paste them into an editor. For the following you only need the entries about the updates (so in case you installed or removed something, ignore those entries).
4. One by one search for the updated packages in Synaptic and select the updated package. Then go to Package > Enforce version and select the older version.
5. After you have done this with all the updated packages click on the button "Apply".

Note: Since I do not have the english localisation of Ubuntu, I'm not sure if I got all the names and menu entries right. They could be named similarly.

Sorry, but I had to walk away from this last night. I was getting so mad, that I wasn't thinking straight. It has been fixed, and I really do appreciate everyone's help with. Thank you.
