There is an unofficial build for Sylpheed-Claws 2.0.0 from the 30th of January 2006 here:
http://claws.sylpheed.org/ubuntu/breezy/

It would be nice to have it also in Dapper's repository. Especially when the current build is crashing at startup, see:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/sylpheed-claws-gtk2/+bug/31112

It isn't ignored and it will probably be in Dapper by the end of the week as sylpheed-claws-gtk2 package (version 2.1.0).

Thanks, but the new build is still not in the Universe:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/mail/sylpheed-claws-gtk2

And in the meantime version 2.1.1 was released (on 17th of April).

Yes, reason is that sylpheed-claws depends on libetpan6, for which UVF is requested:

https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/libetpan/+bug/39693

but it's stoped cause of:

https://launchpad.net/products/qprocd/+bug/40958

which will be fixed ASAP, and then libetpan will be upgraded, resulting in upgrade of sylpheed-claws. Sylpheed-claws 2.1.1 won't get in Dapper (version freeze).

There, 2.1.1 is in Dapper now. It would be too much to ask for 2.2.0 :)
