Did you check their webpage? It seems that the last version was released in the beginning of 2006 and there is no action since so I guess it was abandoned. (So my answer to your question: never)

Hi.

SWScanner is not abandoned. I'm still working on it. I plan to:
- Even if the main goal of SWScanner is not managing wireless networks (you have network-manager), yes, I plan to add WPA(2) support ;-)
- Completely rewrite the GUI using QT4 and KDElibs4. This is the reason why the next release will have to wait until KDE4 is out. Nevertheless, the new GUI is going to be really nice, so it will be worth the wait ;-)
- Client/Server model, MIPS version. This will make it possible to install the server on a Linux wireless router and use SWScanner remotely.
- More things that I'll see as I go along ...

Can you help with this problem?
