Package with new 24.02 version

Asked by Christian Marinelli

Hi,
i saw some days ago a new svxlink stable release was published in the main repository: https://github.com/sm0svx/svxlink/releases/tag/24.02.
There will be a new package in the official Debian/Ubuntu repository with this version?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Christian

Ignore comment #1; that is an AI-created nonsense.

Debian does not have it yet, see https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/svxlink and neither does Ubuntu (because Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian).
I assume that sonner or later Debian will create a package with the new version, and Ubuntu will then copy it into its development release. I do not expect that this will happen before Ubuntu 24.10 (the Ubuntu release to follow after the next one).

If you want to have that version immediately, then the best way might be creating a PPA with that version.

Can you help with this problem?
